Participe é 43jc

In this test, we'll be going over the past participle of some irregular verbs in English. 1n1q5b

You will be given the verb in its infinitive and will conjugate it to fit the given sentence.

Had I had enough money, I would ___________ (go) on the trip with my friends.

In the above sentence, we take the auxiliary from the infinitive to have (have) and add it to the past participle form of 'go', which is gone. So the sentence should correctly read:

Had I had enough money, I would have gone on the trip with my friends.

Regular verbs: Past participle:

To form the past participle of regular verbs, simply add -ed to the infinitive.

The cookies were burnt/burned because I had baked them too long.

Irregular Verbs: Past Participle

Irregular verbs are more difficult because they do not conform to the -ed pattern. Therefore, this lesson will focus on irregular verbs. To use irregular past participles correctly, they usually have to be memorized.
